Ingredients
1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, chopped artichokes, minced garlic, and lemon juice.
Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the top is lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
Garnish with fresh thyme sprigs before serving with crackers or bread.
Variations & Tips
For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the mixture. You can also substitute the bacon with turkey bacon or omit it entirely for a vegetarian version. If you prefer a lighter spread, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. For a different flavor profile, try adding sun-dried tomatoes or roasted red peppers into the mix.
