Crab Rangoon Recipe
Ingredients:
8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
1 cup imitation crab meat (or real crab), finely chopped
2 green onions, finely chopped (reserve some for garnish)
1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
1/2 tsp sugar
20–25 wonton wrappers
Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Instructions:
1. Prepare Filling
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and sugar until smooth.
2. Assemble Wontons
Place 1 tsp of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
Moisten edges with water, then fold into a pouch or “flower” shape by pinching the corners together tightly.
3. Fry
Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
Fry wontons in small batches for 2–3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
4. Serve
Garnish with extra chopped green onions.
Serve hot with sweet and sour sauce, duck sauce, or spicy
