Ingredients (for 2 cups):

 

1 small piece of fresh ginger (about 1 inch), sliced or grated

 

1 small piece of cinnamon stick

 

2–3 slices of red onion

 

1 clove of garlic, lightly crushed

 

½ teaspoon turmeric powder (or a small fresh turmeric slice)

 

2–3 fresh guava leaves (washed)

 

2 cups water

 

Honey or lemon (optional, for taste)

 

 

Instructions:
